Your support will help us expand our programs and our impact.
Globe Smart Kids is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, EIN: 47-3583265.
End of year donations will help cover the costs of recording and publishing our next stories. Previous gifts were used to add the story of a young Muslim girl named Larasati in Indonesia. New funds will go towards adding stories and activities from Palestine (Layth and Bara’a), Asher in Israel and Nora in Norway.
Your donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent of U.S. law.
Please check with your company if they match employee donations and double your support!
Thank you for helping us tackle prejudice before it begins, by making the foreign feel familiar to children worldwide.
It’s not always possible for young children to have cross-group friends. They may live in an area where the opportunity to make friends with someone outside their group doesn’t present itself often, if ever. Maybe it is not encouraged by the adults in their lives. Maybe there is no time, budget, or guts to travel to new places. Or maybe it’s because other kids live far away and don’t speak the same language.
We use imagined contact with friends around the globe to help make children world-wise.
We are curious to know what you do.
Engage with us on social media (@oneglobekids) and share your tips and experiences helping prepare children for the diverse future that awaits. We look forward to learning together. Support us by sharing our posts, our story (TEDx: How a child’s imagination can fight prejudice), and our One Globe Kids program.
Besides the children and their families from around the globe that are featured in One Globe Kids stories, we would not exist without the collaboration of a fabulous group of international volunteers.
We work closely with educators to evaluate our tools and make them better for use in all kinds of classrooms around the world.
We collaborate with researchers in intergroup and imagined contact to stay current with the latest developments.
We are always on the look out for extra help to: story tellers, translators, photographers, designers, fund raisers and others. Please reach out if you like to join our mission of making the foreign feel familiar.
