Mr. Yusuf is an expert in conflict analysis and resolution specializing in asylum seekers, refugees, conflict mitigation and disaster management. Originally from Somalia, he has a Master’s in Social work from the University of Michigan and is finishing a PhD at George Mason University where he also teaches and co-leads an international education program sponsored by the U.S. State Department. He has worked in Somalia, Ethiopia and Yemen, and brings a very personal understanding of intergroup conflict and how it can be overcome to his work on the Globe Smart Kids board.
